The Mold Illness Empowerment Class is a safe, inclusive space to share your experiences, be witnessed and held in community.

This challenging health condition, often overlooked in mainstream healthcare, takes a toll on the body, mind, and spirit. Personally, I've faced the complexities of toxic mold exposure, multiple chemical sensitivities, MCAS, POTS, Lyme, TBI’s, and various co-diagnoses. Through my journey, I've gathered valuable insights on healing both my health and home.

When I was grappling with mold illness, I longed for a community like this one. The initial years were isolating, as I felt misunderstood and disregarded by mainstream medical professionals, my local community, and even my own family. I firmly believe that having a supportive network during those early stages would have accelerated my recovery. My hope is that this group becomes a source of support for your healing journey.

Navigating the challenges of mold-related issues without reliable information and connections kept me in a constant state of fight or flight. For me, a crucial aspect of successful healing was learning to calm my dysregulated nervous system. Simple practices, which I could do at home (when I remembered!), played a significant role in alleviating many symptoms. In our weekly sessions, we'll engage in guided stress-reducing practices to soothe mast cells and regulate our nervous systems, you will have opportunities to share some your story, and to pose questions to the group.

I pull from a well of resources tailored to address mycotoxin poisoning for both your home and body. Additionally, I incorporate evidence-based practices to activate your parasympathetic (rest and repair) nervous system, encompassing limbic system retraining and vagal nerve toning. Most importantly, I provide reassurance that your health has the potential to improve. This group is designed to facilitate the exchange of stories, encourage questions, and offer solace within a supportive community. For those seeking extra assistance, I am available for personalized, one-on-one private sessions.

Wishing you wellness,
Erica

What people are saying.

“Erica has a very tender approach to engaging in conversation. This is comforting to people dealing with illness and water damaged buildings because there is a lot of trauma that comes from an experience like this. (Loss of possessions, illness and disruption of life plans)
Furthermore, understanding how such an experience impacts one's health is difficult because our western medical system has been crafted from education to "practice" to not acknowledge the impact of environmental insults to our body.
We need to learn from each other to find comfort and wisdom in our healing journey. And Erica provides a great forum for that.”
